A: Yes! Each individual member's account is insured by the NCUA up to $100,000 per account. In addition, Service Plus CU has purchased excess share insurance through ASI, the largest private insurer, to insure your funds for an additional $250,000 for a total of $350,000.

A: After you open a checking account, you will receive our routing and transit number and your member number. If your employer participates in a direct deposit program, simply provide this information to the human resources or payroll department at your company, and your direct deposit will usually begin within thirty days.

Security check or you may go to www.socialsecurity.gov and sign up online.

Q:Can I open an account if I live in the United States but am not a citizen yet?
A: Yes. However, in order to deposit your money in an interest-bearing account, you must have a valid tax identification numbers (Social Security Number).
